FoxPuppy A lot of when I was listening to this Carpenteresque (John, not Karen) synth album, I was walking through a dimly lit parking garage and, quite frankly, if I was a director writing a scene of someone walking through a parking garage near the old railroad tracks right before something horrific happens, I think this would be the sort of soundtrack I would want. Moody and eerie.

FE Every once in awhile a music fan comes across an album that leaves a deep and lasting mark on them. It's an all too rare event, and it almost always happens out of the blue. This album did that for me, and as a result, I'm always coming back to it. It's unique, it's dark, it's beautiful, and there's a power within it that's all-too-rare in modern music. Hugely recommended. Favorite track: Varna Airport.

Watermelon Banzai This album is in essence not unlike a horror movie that's "based on a true story" condensed into audio. After all, truth is stranger than fiction and the only thing that’s more terrifying than the sounds of a fictional film is the unsettling ambiance of our actual lives and true unknown horror. It’s voyeuristic, in a way, knowing that the inspirations behind the music on "Where We Go" are actually based on (mostly) true stories, but Burial Grid is the perfect soundtrack for that uneasy reality. Favorite track: Guaraparinga 1988.

Recorded over a three-week period of bed-rest for a mis-diagnosis of diverticulitis, Where We Go is the moribund, analog and vintage synth-spawned soundscape inspired by some high profile, rather terrifying, oftentimes grisly disappearances and unsolved murders.
